Here are pictures of the Empire army I used to have. I sold them about 2 years ago, as I had moved on to Orcs & Goblins. I'm quite pleased with these models, and they were fairly straightforward to paint. Howwever, I rarely won any games with them!

This isn't the entire army, but it is all the painted models I had. I also had 2 Engineers, 5 halflings that I used as Huntsmen, 2 Wizards, another Elector Count, a General on foot (converted from one of the Chaos heroes, with a beardy sprue head and a modified power sword. Once he is painted I'll put him up), a Hellblaster Volleygun and a unit of Greatswords which are mostly converted to great hammers instead of the swords (fitting in with the orginal theme - I started converting these before the MIddenheim modesl were released).
Characters
Elector Count
I chose this particular model as orginally the army was going to be a Warrior Monastry, a al Templars, and he was the Grand Marshall, beacise he has a fortress on his head.....

Warrior Priest
Fitting in with the Warrior Monastry idea, this fellow was to accompany the Knights into righteous combat. He is a slight conversion of the Luthor Huss model - the original head was badly cast, so I just swapped it for a beardy sprue head.

Core Troops
Swordsmen
The banner was created in CorelDraw, and stuck on to the standard banner. I did this as I am rubbish at painting banners, and my first effort looked awful!

Halbardier Detachment for the Swordmen

Handgunners
I had two units of these, and sometimes went with a Marksman with a Hochland Long Rifle.

Knights
As you can see, I didn't try anything clever with their banner - just copied the shield motif, which is from the Dwarf shield sprue.

Special Troops
Cannon
Of all the Empire stuff I have painted, this is by far the best work. I wanted to make my artillery stand out, so decided on making this gun position. I also did their tunics black, in line with the Nulncolour scheme, but kept the trousers white to tie in with the rest of the army.
