I was introduced to BlitzkriegCommander (BKC to it's friends!) in 2004 by Owen Bell, a fellow club member, and loved it straight away. Sadly, Owen is no longer with us, but he and I had some great games. In the time since then I have come to know some excellent people through the BKC forum, foremost amongst them Nik Harwood.

My theatre of choice is late war Eastern Front. This is due to several factors: 1) everybody else playing BKC at our club had North West Europe covered, and we needed a Russian player, 2) I have a Russian wife 3) late war models were the most readily available. If time, money and opponents allow, I'd like to cover the entire Eastern front, and North Africa, and may even dable in the Pacific theatre. but that will be a long way off...

My current battle groups are based on the excellent Micromark lists, and research from other sources. I orginally aimed at doing 4000 points for each side (German, Soviet), abut have now moved to focusing more on OOBs rather than points.

GERMAN

These are theoretical levels, so in reality the Panzer battalions will have 4 Panthers and 5 PzIVs (unless I splash out on more models), and I certaily don't have enough models to field all of the above! The artillery is listed as options, becuase for BKC army selection, late war Germans can only get 3 units. The Corps support is unlikely to be used, unless I want to something different - it's there for completeness. Trucks carry two infantry units and/or MG, or one mortar or ATG unit. This is done mainly to keep costs down. I may one day go to 1 truck per unit, but it does mean that there are a few points tied up in non-combat type units.

This comes in at 3795, and a breakpoint of 28, which leaves room for artillery assets, and some tinkering.
